Social Media is full of people wanting to be thought leaders. So how do you stand out when you truly are one?

Prince Khaled Alwaleed, who is one of the biggest investors in the vegan and sustainable space, wanted to get his message out to more people and grow his social following. The goal was to balance his image as an investor, thought leader, climate activist, humanitarian, and everyday person.

After a deep social audit, we created guidelines for his social presence, which include messaging pillars, tone of voice, look, color palette, graphic elements, typography, and example posts. Then we went to work implementing this new look and refined messaging to his channels.

In the year I oversaw his accounts, his following grew at a steady rate and his engagement was through the roof.

STANDOUT POSTS

World Plant Milk Day: In order to create awareness around the horrors of the dairy industry and help rescued dairy cows, we created a fundraising effort on #WorldPlantMilkDay. For every 🥛emoji posted in comments, Khaled planned to donate $1 to participating farm sanctuaries. We way exceeded our goal and even got followers to donate to these sanctuaries directly. It was a huge success.

April Fools Day: We had some fun on April 1st by pretending Khaled had invested in the first vegan water on the market. We created a fake brand called Vegan Spring Water and announced his investment in a post. We even created a Vegan Spring Water Instagram page! Needless to say, people loved this joke and we got some pretty great comments. 🤣
